Mount Olive Baptist Church is honored to present the Drive-Thru Easter Drama again this year. Since 2012, this production has grown to include over 150 volunteers who come together to portray the events of Passion Week.

Scenes are situated along a winding path on the church property so that visitors remain in their car as they progressively witness The Last Supper, Jesus' Betrayal by Judas in the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter’s Denial, Jesus’ Trial before Pontius Pilate, the Marketplace, the Crucifixion of Jesus, His Burial, Resurrection and Ascension.

Individuals and groups may choose to park and join trailer rides that run continuously, loading from the designated area at the old country store restaurant on Mt Olive Rd.

Bring your family, friends and church groups! This event is free and everyone is welcome!

What to Expect

The drive thru starts at 7:30pm and ends at 10pm. This is a drive-thru event which means visitors remain in their car as they are directed along the pathway to view the individual scenes.

For safety reasons, walking is not permitted, however, you have the option to park at the old country store restaurant and join one of the continuously-running trailer rides. Look for the parking/trailer ride area on Mt Olive Rd about a ¼ mile from the church.

From the first scene of the Lord’s Supper to the final scene of Jesus’ ascension to heaven, the performance takes approximately 30 minutes, however, be prepared to wait in the car line for up to an hour. We believe this “car time” can be a perfect opportunity to pray for the production, for those in your car, and for those in the line behind you.

Our church and volunteers have been in prayer for every person who attends the Easter Drive-Thru! Our prayer is that you come to know Jesus as your personal Savior. And if you’re already a follower of Jesus Christ, we pray that you sense the presence of the Holy Spirit in a new and fresh way as you visualize what Jesus experienced leading up to his dying on the cross for us, and being resurrected on the third day! Hallelujah, He’s Alive!

Want to Know More?

If you're feeling a pull to know more about Jesus, how to be a follower of Jesus, or what it means to be a Christian, we encourage you to talk to one of our pastoral leaders. We would love to tell you more.  The staff and members of Mount Olive are not perfect, but we serve a perfect God, and we want you to know Him.

ABC’s of Becoming a Christian

A Admit to God that you are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin. (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9)

B Believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and accept God’s gift of forgiveness from sin. (John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13)

C Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Romans 10:9-10, 13)
